"Bye Bye Baby" was the signature home run call of Russ Hodges during broadcasts of San Francisco Giants baseball games from 1949-1971. You may also recognize his voice on Bobby Thompsons "Shot Heard 'Round the World" in 1951 in which he screams "The Giants Win The Pennant, The Giants Win The Pennant!!!" In 1962 it also led to a promotional song for KSFO radio who were the flagship station of The San Francisco Giants at that time. .
